Power Players, the 3D animation/live-action hybrid series from ZAG, will enter a major new market this fall.
Audiences in China will be able to enjoy the series beginning in October when it debuts simultaneously on Tencent, Mango TV, and major digital over-the-top (OTT) platforms, including Xiaomi, Haixin, Kukai, and TCL, and more.
REESEE brokered the distribution deal on behalf of ZAG in China and will also serve as the regional distributor for the Power Players toy collection from ZAG Lab and Playmates. The full range of action figures, vehicles, and role-play items will hit stores in China next spring.
“Launching Power Players in China marks a tremendous leap in growth for this unique brand,” says Jeremy Zag, founder and CEO, ZAG. “The series has attracted millions of fans across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America already, and with the incredible reach that Mango TV and Tencent offer, we anticipate the series to quickly garner an impressive fan base across the region.”
Power Players follows a 9-year-old boy who transforms into a 6-inch superhero to battle toys created by his uncle — a former toy inventor that owns a toy repair shop. The series airs on Cartoon Network in the U.S. and on numerous platforms around the world.
