Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media (DCPI) will release Cars Daredevil Garage, a new mobile app, as well as collectible Mattel diecast cars, which can be scanned into the app and used to perform extreme stunts in virtual environments.
Cars Daredevil Garage is available now on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and Cars diecast are available at mass retailers nationwide. The initial line features more than 160 cars and several tracks available to race on at launch, with more scheduled for release through the summer.
This fall, DCPI is also set to introduce the Precision Series, a new line of high-end diecast cars and playsets with unique features such as detailed undercarriages, PVC tires, suspension, and other distinct elements tailored to each Cars character. The playsets are modeled after the landmarks in the Cars movies and will connect together so fans can build out the main road in Radiator Springs.
All of the playsets light up, come with a special diecast, and will have the ability to connect to other Cars story sets from Mattel. The first playset in the series, Flo’s Café Playset, will be available at retail this fall with subsequent playsets and diecast cars launching next year.
