Rovio Entertainment returned to profitable growth in 2016, which saw a record performance in the company’s Games division and the blockbuster release of The Anry Birds Movie. The Angry Birds Movie is celebrating the success of its grossed $300 million at the worldwide box office with the release of a new short, “The Early Hatchling Gets The Worm,” debuting in select theaters this weekend. The short focuses on an unlikely friendship that forms between a Hatchling and a worm she adopts.
Four Hatchling shorts have been released thus far as part of the film’s marketing campaign, which has garnered a total of 40 million views and counting.

The Angry Birds Movie took the top position at the U.S. box office this weekend, earning $39 million and beating Captain America: Civil War for the top spot, according to Box Office Mojo and comScore.
