Toy, Game-Inspired Fashion Show Strides Right Down the Runway

Last week the runway became the fun-way as models donned haute couture styles created by some of Chicago’s most innovative fashion designers, inspired by hot toy and game brands, many of which were featured at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair, the nation’s largest public toy and game event, held on Saturday and Sunday, November 17 and 18 at Navy Pier. The event was held at City Winery in Chicago’s burgeoning West Loop corridor.

Dubbed playCHIC, the concept fashion show featured the creativity and style of the Chicago fashion industry, paired with the playfulness of toy and game designers, and it was the first in a week’s worth of events that culminated with the 10th anniversary Chicago Toy & Game Fair. After successfully strutting down its first runway, playCHIC can expect to move fun-fashion forward for years to come.
