In partnership with Go Baby Go, a research-based, national program that provides modified, ride-on toy cars to young children with disabilities, Toy State is sponsoring four workshops in four cities across the country. Each car will be outfitted to model the Toy State Nikko R/C No. 7 car currently driven by Alex Bowman on the NASCAR Sprint Cup circuit.
The first workshop took place Tuesday in Mooresville, N.C., at the Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) shop. Bowman, along with fellow NASCAR drivers Kasey Kahne, Michael McDowell, Blake Koch, and Cale Conley, were in attendance along with other members of the NASCAR community. Toy State is currently in the middle of an 11-race partnership with TBR as the primary sponsor of the No. 7 car. The next workshop is planned for June 25 in Chicago, Ill.
“When we learned about Go Baby Go and the incredible work that they do helping children with mobility issues, we had to get involved,“ said Andy Friess, Toy State president. “Tuesday’s event was a huge success, and the opportunity for Toy State to play a part in helping these young kids to improve their quality of life is extremely gratifying. Seeing each of them have the chance to interact with the NASCAR drivers and race around in their very own No. 7 Toy State Nikko R/C car brought the excitement and enjoyment up to a whole new level for everyone involved!”
