The Toy Association is taking a new direction with the Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards this year, repositioning it as a Toy Foundation event to better reflect the true purpose of the program. The Toy Foundation has opened up nominations for products in the toy, game, and license categories through Aug. 31. Proceeds from the TOTYs benefit the Foundation in its mission to deliver toys to kids in need. Finalists will be selected by a committee comprised of play experts, journalists, academics, retailers, and other toy experts and will be revealed in November.
