At Hasbro‘s Investor Day meeting, the company announced the expansion of its relationship with Disney to include gaming and other play experiences based on major Disney entertainment properties Disney Princess and Disney Junior. The deal gives Hasbro global rights to develop games based on the properties, including Mr. Potato Head toys based on Disney Princess characters.
As Hasbro continues momentum in the gaming business, it will also be launching a line of party games this year, including Funny or Die and Draw Something Party to bring friends and family together. The company is also revamping the classic brand Monopoly by retiring the iron token and replacing it with a cat which was recently voted in by fans worldwide.
The new Monopoly Empire game even offers new ways to play where kids can collect, buy, and trade top brands such as Coca-Cola, Samsung, McDonald’s, and Xbox rather than real estate in a quest to “own it all.”
