Buffalo Games and BuzzFeed are teaming up to release a line of party games under the new BuzzFeed Games imprint. The launch will include three games: BuzzFeed 2000’s Trivia, BuzzFeed Listicles, and BuzzFeed’s Tasty — Cooking Chaos.
Available this fall, each game was created with the help of BuzzFeed editors who translated their digital content into real-life experiences, helping BuzzFeed’s audience engage with the brand in a new way.
BuzzFeed 2000’s Trivia will test players’ knowledge of obscure pop culture moments from the past decade. It features more than 400 questions with pictures, trivia, and challenges based on the movies, TV shows, toys, tech, and trends of the 2000s.
When playing Listicles, players must race to compile a list based on hilarious categories, such as “things your rich friend had growing up” and “people you wouldn’t want to be trapped in an elevator with.” Players can gain bonus points by starting their list items with the letter designated for the round, and they can score extra points if they come up with the wackiest item.
Cooking Chaos is a collaborative kitchen cookoff featuring popular comfort food recipes from Tasty, BuzzFeed’s global food brand. During this game, players must race to collect ingredient cards to make dishes while overcoming obstacle cards, such as a burned tongue (no talking until you finish your next recipe: charades only) or a cut finger (only use one hand until you complete your next recipe).
Buffalo Games will showcase its product range in booth No. 251 at Toy Fair New York (TFNY), taking place from Feb. 22-25 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
