Afro Unicorn, the brand behind the Black unicorn that was designed to uplift and impact women and children of color, is launching a live-action series and Roblox experience this spring.

The series, created for kids ages 5 and up, features Afro Unicorn’s Founder and CEO April Showers as Ms. April along with kid ambassadors Eden (@theedenolivia), Veigh (@veighway), Genesis (@iamforevergenesis), and Brielle (@2belaygirls). The show follows the girls to Ms. April’s Crown and AfroMation Shop where they encounter challenges during their entrepreneurial journeys. Ms. April, Magical the puppet, and the AfroMation Mirror help the kids tackle obstacles with daily affirmations, kindness, and more. At the end of each episode, the young girl is crowned for her achievements.

“Everyone has a crown, they just have to believe it to see it,” Showers says. “I am proud of this new adventure into entrepreneurship to uplift and celebrate the boundless potential within young minds as they pursue their dreams with inner confidence and learn to help others.”

The series will debut at the Bentonville Film Festival in Arkansas, taking place from June 10-17.

Afro Unicorn’s new experience on Roblox aims to bring diverse characters to the platform, enhancing its authentic representation. “It will be thrilling to bring diverse characters to Roblox, which best reflect children of color so they can live and play in the world of Afronia and be their authentic selves,” Showers continues.

Afro Unicorn’s master toy partner Just Play plans to release collectible dolls, figures, playsets, building toys, and more in the years ahead.
