Boss Fight Studio expands its Saurozoic Warriors brand beyond action figures with the launch of Saurozoic Warriors Arena, a new tabletop combat game designed by HeroQuest creator Stephen Baker. The Kickstarter campaign for the game is live now.

Saurozoic Warriors Arena blends push-your-luck dice mechanics, tactical card play, and crowd-powered progression in an arena perched atop an active volcano. Players command 54mm miniatures based on the Saurozoic Warriors action figure line, using unique action decks and combo-driven attacks to battle for dominance and the favor of the fans.

The game originated from a creative collaboration between Boss Fight Studio and Stephen Baker, who developed multiple prototype concepts tailored to the company’s figure lines. The final version merges Baker’s gladiatorial combat framework with the Saurozoic Warriors setting, a sci-fi fantasy world inspired by cartoons and toys from the 1980s and 1990s.

The game builds on the bold and dynamic tone of the Saurozoic universe, expanding its story with larger-than-life characters and fast-paced, replayable gameplay. Each player selects a dino-gladiator and a corresponding deck of cards that grant unique abilities. Combat earns glory from the crowd, which fuels the ability to unlock special moves. Strategic dice rolls, smart card play, and the ever-present threat of volcanic eruptions add tension to every round.

Boss Fight Studio, founded in 2013 by former Hasbro designers and sculptors, is known for its high-quality, articulated figures and original IPs, including Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S., Saurozoic Warriors, and licensed properties such as Legends of Lucha Libre, Fraggle Rock, and Popeye. Saurozoic Warriors Arena marks the company’s first entry into tabletop gaming.
