During Anime Expo, VIZ Media invites attendees and Los Angeles, California residents to experience BLEACH LA: The Artist Collective. Starting today, guests can view a first-of-its-kind art gallery inspired by the Bleach anime series.
Now until July 5, BLEACH LA takes over the George J. Doizaki Gallery in the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center. In this space, fans can celebrate Bleach‘s longstanding history with an exhibit featuring original works from more than 20 internationally acclaimed artists. This event will showcase art pieces inspired by fine art, street culture, illustration, and contemporary design.
Each artist offers their unique interpretations of the Bleach universe, from its iconic characters to its unforgettable moments. Headlining the exhibition is an original portrait of Captain Shunsui Kyōraku by Audrey Kawasaki. Highlights include Tokidoki founder Simone Legno’s kawaii interpretation of fan-favorite characters; Yoskay Yamamoto’s ethereal take on Rukia; Jasper Wong’s portraits of Soi Fon and Captain Unohana; Greg Mike’s abstract reimagining of Grimmjow and Nel; and McFlyy’s streetwear-inspired tribute to the series’ iconic heroes.
Fans can visit bleachla.com to experience a virtual gallery tour and an online shop featuring exclusive art prints and merchandise.
