Cloudco Entertainment is expanding the global reach of Care Bears through a wave of new licensing partnerships, retail placements, and cultural activations as the brand approaches its 45th anniversary in 2027.
Recent momentum includes appearances on The Masked Singer, collaborations with K-pop group ILLIT, and location-based experiences such as Drayton Manor. The brand has also seen increased consumer awareness, with recent research indicating gains across the U.S., U.K., and key international markets.
At retail, Care Bears collections have expanded to partners including Uniqlo and Benetton, alongside existing relationships with Zara and Pop Mart. The licensing program continues to grow across categories, with partners such as Scentsy, Casetify, and Relatable extending the brand into home fragrance, tech accessories, and games.
“What makes this moment so exciting is that Care Bears is winning on two fronts simultaneously, in pop culture and in licensing. The cultural pull is what attracts the quality of partners we’re announcing today,” says Robert Prinzo, Head of Global Licensing, Cloudco Entertainment. “After nearly 45 years, this kind of energy is extraordinary and shows us that the best is still ahead.”
The brand is also expanding its presence in location-based entertainment, including a U.S. play area at Barton Creek Square Mall in Austin, alongside live shows, touring experiences, and themed hospitality concepts designed to bring Care-A-Lot to life for families.
Publishing remains a key focus, with partners including HarperCollins, Scholastic, and Penguin Random House supporting expansion across children’s books and collector formats. In toys, partners such as Basic Fun! and ZURU continue to drive growth through plush, collectibles, and collaborative releases.
Cloudco will showcase upcoming initiatives at Licensing Expo, highlighting ongoing efforts to position Care Bears as a multi-generational lifestyle brand across entertainment, consumer products, and experiential channels.
