Moose Toys’ added new products to its Shopkins franchise this year with Cutie Cars die-cast vehicles. The collectible cars are made with die-cast metal and feature characters such as Choc Chip Racer, Wheely Wishes, and Motor Melon. There are more than 35 vehicles to collect in the first series, and each has its own personality and miniature Shopkin.
In support of the new line, Moose created and released a Cutie Cars webisode on YouTube, with new webisodes that will launch in the spring. A new series of Cutie Cars toys will also be available early next year, and will be supported by a marketing campaign.
The Licensing Shop Inc. will assist with the Cutie Cars licensing program for markets in the U.S. and Canada. First licensees include Scholastic for books that will launch this month and additional titles throughout next year, Goliath Games for board games that will launch next spring, and Mighty Kingdom for a mobile app that will launch next December. Additional licensees will be announced in January.
