ZURU is set to unleash a stylish new addition to its growing 5 Surprise line while continuing the path toward sustainability.
On Dec. 11, Walmart stores in the U.S. will be the first to offer 5 Surprise Mini Fashion collectibles. The new range features more than 40 real fabric fashion bags and accessories for kids to collect. More than two dozen fully functional handbags and clutch purses are in the assortment, each featuring soft fabric construction with fine details and stitching. The surprise accessories include pretend makeup, sunglasses, jewelry, and stickers.
“Fashion is all about mixing the hottest trends with those timeless classics, and with 5 Surprise being the ultimate trend in collectibles, this new series of miniature functioning handbags was an obvious next step for us,” says ZURU’s Global Brand Director Aneisha Vieira. “Each capsule includes a hand-stitched fabric bag that’s fully functional, with stunning fine details and other fashion accessories, and with an eye towards sustainability, we are proud to introduce a new more eco-friendly capsule.”
The eco-friendly capsule is a simpler design when compared to the previous 5 Surprise assortments. The individual compartments have been eliminated, as have the plastic wrappers that contained the toys. The two-part, round capsules are now made from certified recycled plastic and come wrapped in a PET-based film. The surprises in each capsule are encased in paper baggies.

At launch, the Mini Fashion collection includes 25 real fabric fashion bags, including two rare bags, and accessories. Each collectible capsule carries an MSRP of $9.99.
