Fred Rogers Productions is expanding its licensing team, bringing on Katie Huber to fill the newly created position of Senior Director of Licensing.
Huber will be responsible for developing and executing brand licensing strategies, working with both Matt Shiels, Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs, as well as Micah Southwood, Director of Product Development.
With her extensive experience in helping to build robust brands and standout consumer products programs in the children’s entertainment space, Katie will be a great asset to our licensing team and the company overall."
Huber brings a bevy of prior experience in the world of licensing. Before coming to Fred Rogers Productions, she worked as Director of Retail & Ancillary Revenue at Palace Entertainment. She’s also held a number of positions at The Walt Disney Company, including Senior Manager of Global Merchandising at Disney Parks & Stores.
Originally established by Fred Rogers in 1971, Fred Rogers Productions was the nonprofit producer of the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood series. The organization has continued on since Rogers’ passing, creating media designed to encourage and empower children. The nonprofit has produced a number of series, including Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Donkey Hodie, Alma’s Way, and more.
The newly created position of Senior Director of Licensing is Fred Roger Productions’ first department expansion since the launch of Donkey Hodie and Alma’s Way in 2021. With Huber at the helm, the organization hopes to see fresh opportunities for growth and licensing partnerships.
