GUND and Chipolo are collaborating to help solve the mystery of kids’ missing toys.
Spin Master Corp.’s premium plush brand GUND is teaming up with Chipolo, manufacturer of Bluetooth tracking devices. The two companies are collaborating to create a tracking device that will deter kids from the meltdowns that occur when their favorite plush goes missing.
Adults will attach the compact Chipolo Plus tracker to a kid’s favorite toy and then connect it to the Chipolo app. The next time kids leave their plush after school or forget it at the park, parents can use the app to ring a tone that’s connected to the tracker on the toy. The app will even send an “out of range” alert to parents whenever they leave an area without their kid’s plush to add a preventative measure.
“We receive hundreds of emails from parents who are desperately trying to track down a lost plush,” Spin Master’s Executive Vice President of Marketing Laura Henderson says. “Our collaboration with Chipolo offers an easy solution that makes parents’ lives just a little bit easier.”
The Chipolo Plus is now available for free with any purchase of $50 or more on gund.com. Kids can choose from a wide variety of GUND plushies, ranging from a classic teddy bear to an animated Peter Rabbit.
