Hasbro is officially changing the action figure game.
The Rhode Island-based company today revealed the Hasbro Selfie Series for consumers to immortalize themselves as action figures within their favorite franchises.
Launching this fall exclusively on the Hasbro Pulse mobile app this fall, fans will be able to create a 6-inch action figure based on their likeness with costume designs from G.I. Joe, Ghostbusters, Power Rangers, and Marvel, and designs inspired by Star Wars. Fans can immerse themselves into the universes of their favorite brands, becoming a Star Wars X-wing pilot, morphing into a Power Ranger, stalking Cobra as Snake Eyes, swinging through New York City like Spider-Man, and more.
The platform will launch with the following designs: Mandalorian Warrior, Stormtrooper, X-wing Pilot, and Rebel Princess from Star Wars; Black Panther, Black Widow, Spider-Man, and Iron Man from Marvel; Female and Male Rookies from Ghostbusters; Snake Eyes and Scarlett from G.I. Joe; and the Red and Pink Rangers from Power Rangers.
Fans attending Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC), taking place from July 21-24, will have a chance to preview the figures, and a select few will create and purchase their own figures to ship in the fall. Fans can visit the Hasbro Pulse Info Desk at Booth No. 3213 to get a ticket for a time slot, distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
