
World of Women (WoW), an NFT collective that focuses on women’s representation has partnered with Hasbro and WS Game Company to create a never before seen Monopoly game.
The new game is called World of Women Galaxy Monopoly game and will be available exclusively to World of Women and World of Women Galaxy holders. The collection will be first distributed as an NFT and then it will be redeemable for a physical copy of the limited edition board game. WS Game company, the only high-end board game manufacturer with an authorized Hasbro license, will manufacture and distribute the edition.

“Joining forces with another female-led business on an initiative in a historically male-dominated industry is a great opportunity to ensure equal representation across multiple industries,” says Kerry Addis, co-owner and VP of product development, WS Game Company. “The partnership not only marks the growth of NFTs in the consumer products space but opens up endless new digital-first possibilities for the board game industry as well.”

WoW is an NFT project that was launched in 2021 and is co-founded by artist Yam Karkai. With community members such as Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow, the collective has garnered notable success. Achieving a trading volume of over 100,000 ETH across World of Women and World of Women Galaxy which is approximately equivalent to $300 million. The NFT collective focuses on empowering women and increasing diversity in digital spaces with a range of NFTs that feature 14 skin tones, seven lip colors, and 27 outfits.
WoW has steadily increased its presence in the toy industry and made news this past March for its deal with Jazwares. The NFT collective is working on a licensing deal with Jazwares to create a line of dolls, accessories, plush, vehicles, playsets, and more inspired by the WoW NFT universe. WoW also has partnerships with Universal Music Group, Billboard, Christie’s, The Sandbox, and more.
