A new specialty retailer dedicated to LEGO is opening up in Prescott, Arizona.
John’s Box of Bricks will be selling both new and used LEGO building sets and minifigures. The new store is owned and operated by John Donovan, a local CPA and business executive, and his family.
“LEGO products are uniquely suited to be purchased in person at a brick-and-mortar store where they can be viewed, demonstrated, compared, and handled by the customer,” Donovan says. “In our store, customers will be able to see and handle the product themselves, see LEGO sets built and demonstrated in the store, and be able to ask questions of knowledgeable staff who can assist with purchasing decisions.”
John’s Box of Bricks will have several interactive elements, including a build-a-minifigure station where kids can build and customize their own LEGO minifigures, a colorful pick-a-brick wall, a bulk LEGO bin where builders can pick out parts and pieces to build their own creations, free-play areas, and displays with pre-built LEGO sets. The store will also have special displays for the holidays, including two winter villages made from LEGO products, including a working Christmas train and trolley, a ski resort, a toy store, a bakery, and more.
John’s Box of Bricks opens on Wednesday, Nov. 1. John’s Box of Bricks is located at 220 W Goodwin St. in historic downtown Prescott. The store will be open daily from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 12-4 p.m. on Sundays.
