The U.S. division of Paris-based Cyber Group Studios (Gigantosaurus, Sadie Sparks) kicked off the new year with a pair of big executive moves.

Los Angeles-based Cyber Group Studios USA appointed Karen K. Miller as president and CEO and Merritt D. Farren as general counsel and chief operating officer. The duo will be responsible for growing North American development and distribution operations in an effort to support Cyber Group Studios’ global business.

Miller takes the helm this spring, joining the company from NBCUniversal where she most recently served as senior vice president of content for Universal Kids. She previously held positions at The Walt Disney Co. and Warner Bros. Farren joined Cyber Group Studios last month from SoundCloud. He previously held positions at Amazon/Audible and The Walt Disney Co.

Cyber Group Studios USA recently revealed plans to adapt Scholastic’s Press Start! into an animated series. Additional projects in development include James & the Everafters, and an update to Monster in My Pocket.
