The LEGO Group is once again teaming up with Epic Games following the launch of LEGO Fortnite last year. This new collaboration includes two new play experiences within Fortnite, including LEGO Raft Survival and LEGO Obby Fun, which together make up LEGO Islands.
LEGO Raft Survival features a LEGO Pirates theme. During the game, Blackbeard challenges players to stay afloat on their rafts as cannonballs are shot. Players must collect wood and treasure along the way to build more rafts. LEGO Obby Fun is a LEGO-themed obstacle course that features climbing and problem solving. Each section of the LEGO obstacle course features a different theme, including LEGO Friends, LEGO City, LEGO Ninjago, and LEGO Dreamzzz. The game designers created LEGO Raft Survival and LEGO Obby Fun using Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN).
“The power of UEFN, in the hands of our creative teams, is what makes these experiences possible and allows us to expand new genres across Fortnite, infused with LEGO play,” says Kari Vinther Nielsen, Head of Play and Creator Growth at LEGO Game. “We can’t wait to introduce even more as the year goes on — this is only the beginning!”
Players can wear some of their favorite LEGO styles in LEGO Islands and LEGO Fortnite, including new styles available this year. LEGO Raft Survival and LEGO Obby Fun are available now and new games and experiences from LEGO and Fortnite will continue to be released throughout the year.
