The LEGO Group is launching more vehicle-based building sets that embrace the world of racing.

The new launches include two new LEGO Speed Champions sets featuring McLaren Racing and BMW designs, two LEGO Technic cars from Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team, a LEGO Icons car from McLaren, and two LEGO City racing cars.

The LEGO Technic Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance, which is designed for adults, will also feature a pull-back version for kids ages 7 and up. The LEGO Speed Champions 2023 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car is designed for kids ages 9 and up and features design details from the real-life race car. The LEGO Speed Champions BMW M4 GT3 and BMW M Hybrid V8 Race Cars pack comes with two minifigure drivers and features details that highlight the German car maker’s unique style.

The LEGO Icons car features the 1988 McLaren MP4/4 and Ayrton Senna, complete with working steering, rod suspension, an adjustable rear wing, a gearshift, a V6 engine, a display stand, and an Ayrton Senna Minifigure. The two LEGO City racing inspired sets include the LEGO City Green Race Car, which comes with a driver and photography, and the LEGO City Race Car and Carrier Truck, which includes transport to and from LEGO car races.

“Play is a great way for families to bond over shared passions,” says Niels Henrik Horsted, Head of Product at The LEGO Group. “Coming together with a group of partners to create a variety of play experiences for families out there is a great opportunity for The LEGO Group, and we have created vehicles for both adults and kids, so they can enjoy a shared play experience together, as they build. We might all have different cars we prefer, different championships or competitions we like, different racing teams we cheer on, but what unites us is our shared love of exciting racing and incredible cars.”

The new LEGO vehicles launch starting March 1.
