Mattel Creations introduces a new addition to the Hot Wheels collection in collaboration with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham.
The collaboration will consist of eight reimagined Hot Wheels 1:64-scale vehicles to be released across four drops.
This Hot Wheels collaboration includes eight die-cast and silkstone models transformed into eroded artifacts. The first lap of the Daniel Arsham collection releases on Oct. 27 at mattelcreations.com.
Fans can start their collections off with two eroded classic vehicles. The Eroded Rodger Dodger is a sky-blue model car inspired by the 1973 Dodge Charger SE with a blown V8 engine emerging from the hood. The Erorded Porsche 930 Turbo features a cream-white model inspired by the car from the ‘70s. Each vehicle includes a clear display case and eroded details.
Collectors can store their future collectibles in the Hot Wheels Super Rally Case. This eroded case acts as a nod to the original Hot Wheels Rally Case from 1968. Fans can store the eight vehicles in the case, which comes with the eroded Porsche.
Fans can experience “Lap One” live at 45 Grand St. in NYC from 12-7 p.m. on Oct. 21-22. Collectors can view updates on the three remaining laps on mattelcreations.com/danielarsham
