McFarlane Toys is marking three decades in the action figures and collectibles sphere with new releases, social media campaigns, and more.
The company has maintained private ownership since Todd McFarlane founded it in 1994. One of McFarlane Toys’ core collections is McFarlane’s Spawn, a comic book series with hundreds of millions of copies sold in more than 120 countries. The series launched in 1992 with more than 1.7 million copies sold.
Following the launch of Spawn, McFarlane launched McFarlane toys to create hyper-realistic and articulated action figures based on the series. Over the years, McFarlane Toys has partnered with DC Comics, Disney, Warner Bros., and more along with celebrities like Tim Burton, Ozzy Osbourne, KISS, and sports stars from the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB.
To celebrate the company’s anniversary, McFarlane Toys will drop several limited edition and exclusive Gold Label figures, including a 2-pack featuring a Spawn figure based on McFarlane’s original design paired with a figure of McFarlane himself.
The company will also host social media contests (@mcfarlane_toys_official on Instagram) and other releases on its social media channels throughout the year.
