MGA Entertainment’s (MGAE) recently announced Operation: Pac-Man is ramping up efforts to aid in the fight against COVID-19.
Alongside the launch of a new MGAE Cares website, company founder and CEO Isaac Larian has committed to funding the project with $5 million in sales from the popular L.O.L. Surprise! brand. Funds will be used to continue procuring personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers across the U.S. Larian says he will match all donations raised by the public through Qgiv.
Additionally, in-house designers at MGAE and Little Tikes have created a ventilator prototype that is currently being tested at UCLA Medical Center. Once tested and clinically approved, the Little Tikes Factory in Hudson, Ohio, will begin production of the ventilators, which will be created at a fraction of the cost of the current supply.
MGAE has already secured an additional shipment of goggles and protective shields that are en route to healthcare providers.
Parties looking to get involved in Operation: Pac-Man or wishing to request supplies may do so at mgaecares.org.
