MGA Entertainment is seeing a successful holiday sales season, with top toys across multiple categories, according to Circana data. Circana reports high rankings for both the Rainbow High and Miniverse brands.
Rainbow High ranked as the top fashion doll in the U.S. in November; the No. 1 fashion doll year-to-date in the UK, Germany, and Italy; the No. 2 best-selling fashion doll in France for October; the best-selling fashion doll in Belgium for October; and the No. 5 item in toys overall in Spain. The Rainbow High Color & Create also achieved the No. 1 fashion doll spot in October in Poland.
When the pandemic was winding down, and many other toy companies cut back on R&D and product development, MGA Entertainment doubled down, allowing us to offer consumers the most innovative, new toys available for the 2023 season…and there’s a lot more to come in 2024.
Another MGA brand, Miniverse, is seeing its own global success. The brand was the No. 2 growth property in November and No. 3 year-to-date. It also had six of the top ten items in miscellaneous toys in November as well as the No. 1 item in miscellaneous toys in October in Germany and Spain.
MGA Entertainment has also secured a new patent for the “make it” component of the Miniverse brand, a feature that invites consumers to follow the included instructions and have a hand in making their own mini collectibles.
“With the explosive global growth of the MGA’s Miniverse brand, we wanted to protect consumers from knock-offs and counterfeit versions, and the new patent will help ensure they are getting high-quality, genuine Miniverse products,” says MGA Entertainment Founder and CEO Isaac Larian.
