Moonbug Entertainment, the company behind Blippi, Morphle, and CoComelon Lane, has appointed Peter Stone as its Chief Marketing Officer. Stone will be the first to fill the company’s new position, starting on Dec. 6 in the London office.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Stone will be responsible for Moonbug’s global marketing strategy, franchise management, and consumer engagement, and will oversee the evolution and growth of the brands.
He will also be responsible for bringing alignment and focus across the marketing sector as the brand builds global kid and family franchises. Stone will report directly to Rene Rechtman, Moonbug’s Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder.
“Moonbug Entertainment has rocketed to pop culture consciousness with stories and characters that captivate children and parents worldwide,” Stone says. “I am excited to work with the amazing teams around the company to further connect global audiences with a powerful new generation of family entertainment.”
Stone most recently served as Head of International and UK Film Marketing at Netflix, where he held several positions since 2014. Stone also led theatrical marketing at Legendary Entertainment and has worked with Walt Disney Animation Studio and Monitor Deloitte.
