My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

It’s a big week for My Little Pony news.

Following the mid-season premiere of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic on Discovery Family this weekend, the Mane Six and Co. are heading into the series’ final episodes with the return of a popular guest star: “Weird Al” Yankovic. This weekend, Weird Al returned to Equestria, once again lending his voice to the fan-favorite Cheese Sandwich in episode 14, “The Last Laugh.”

Then, on The My Little Pony Retro Show, the Ponies star in Equestria Hills, 90210 — a musical parody of Beverly Hills, 90210, which returns to Fox this week in a self-referential new form.

Finally, as first revealed in June, Hasbro Inc. and Mills Entertainment are working together for My Little Pony Live, the first original touring production in North America for the My Little Pony brand. The new musical will be inspired by the signature themes of friendship and magic, and today the first 20 stops have been announced. The tour will kick off on March 7 in St. Paul, Minnesota, with dates announced through June. Tickets and VIP packages will go on sale Aug. 9 via the official site.
