Last month, The Toy Book gave you a first look at The Nacelle Co.’s relaunched Sectaurs brand. Now, the first wave of new products is available for retailers and consumers to preorder.

Created under license from Seven Towns, the relaunched Sectaurs action figure line honors the original collection that was released by Coleco in the 1980s by pairing vintage-inspired sculpts with modern articulation. The first wave includes two figures, the 7-inch Dargon and 6-inch Stelara.

“I’m confident that our upcoming Sectaurs line will not only be a hit, but a foundation of our company’s toy division for many years to come,” says Nacelle Co. Founder and CEO, Brian Volk-Weiss.

As a genetic experiment fails on the distant planet of Symbion, frightening changes take place that cannot be stopped. The result is a world where the inhabitants have taken on the awesome characteristics of insects, and the insects grow to incredible and terrifying proportions. Telepathically bonded in combat, Sectaurs join with their insect companions in the ultimate battle for survival.

“Sectaurs is such an iconic IP and truly has held a place not only in the hearts of the original creators Maureen Trotto, Tim Clarke, and Larry Mass but with fans all around the world,” says Seven Towns CEO, Mike Moody. “We are very excited to be working with Nacelle to revive this awesome property with new and gripping themes.”

Over the past few years, The Nacelle Co. has branched out as a diversified media company. Known for its comedy specials and TV series, including Netflix’s The Toys That Made Us and the multiplatform A Toy Store Near You, The Nacelle Co. now produces podcasts, is involved in publishing, and has been building a robust portfolio of licensed brands to develop across its growing toy division led by industry vet David Vonner.

The company recently revealed its Legends of Laughter action figure line, featuring Joan Rivers, Bill Hicks, and Lenny Bruce, and is now shipping the first figures from its reimagined version of Ideal Toys’ Robo Force, featuring updated versions of the 1980s’ Maxx Steele and Wrecker. Additionally, the company is working on a relaunch of Revell’s Power Lords and is currently soliciting retailer orders for two new kid-focused brands, Garden Surprise and Big Bad Battle Caps.

At Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC) this summer, Nacelle Co. founder and CEO Brian Volk-Weiss spoke with our sister publication, The Pop Insider, regarding the company’s entry into the competitive toy industry.

The Sectaurs are available to preorder via Nacelle Co.’s direct-to-consumer website, nacellestore.com. Retail buyers interested in stocking Nacelle Co. products can reach out to Michael Goodman for information: mgoodman@nacellecompany.com.
