Pocket.watch is mounting a global expansion beginning with a new executive hire. Danny Spronz will serve as the company’s newly appointed managing director EMEA.

Spronz joins the company from The Walt Disney Co. EMEA where he served as vice president of digital partnerships and influencer marketing. At pocket.watch, Spronz will be responsible for all business operations, advertising sales, consumer products licensing, and content sales in the region.

“The rate of demand for children’s programming from the biggest stars and creators loved by generation alpha across EMEA and other western territories shows no signs of slowing down and pocket.watch is uniquely positioned to fill this need,” Spronz says. “pocket.watch has proven time and again to be a trailblazer in the kids’ entertainment space and I am thrilled to be joining the team to help further the company’s success and reach into new territories.”

Additionally, pocket.watch inked a new deal with Etisalat, the largest telecom operator in the Middle East, to bring the company’s slate of kids programming, including Ryan’s Mystery Playdate, HobbyKids Adventures, and Ryan’s World Specials, to e-Junior, Etisalat’s top UAE kids TV channel through SVOD and pay-TV.

In the UK, The NPD Group reports that pocket.watch’s Ryan’s World line of products was the No. 1 new property in the country. Additional toys and other consumer products will begin hitting retail later this year.

pocket.watch also expands its roster of creator partners with the addition of JasonVlogs. Based in the Netherlands, 6-year-old JasonVlogs boasts over 5 billion lifetime views. The partners will work to develop an animated series, consumer products, games, and additional projects to extend the JasonVlogs brand.

Finally, pocket.watch says that it’s in active discussions with distributors for new creator-fueled content including the animated series’ EvanTube’s Dollar Toy Squad and Onyx Monster Mysteries.
