Dr. Suess Enterprises promoted Susan Brandt to president and CEO of the company.

Brandt has led the company as president for more than two decades and will continue leading it as well as overseeing worldwide operations. Her most recent deals for Dr. Suess Enterprises include a three-part movie deal with Warner Animation Group, the first-ever Dr. Seuss NFT collecting experience – Seussibles! – with Dapper Labs, and the traveling exhibition with Kilburn Live – The Dr. Seuss Experience. She has also worked on the animated series Green Eggs and Ham with Netflix, as well as the award-winning show The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That! with PBS.

“Over the years, Susan has put her heart and soul into Dr. Seuss Enterprises,” says Brian Schottlaender, chair of the Geisel-Seuss Enterprises board. “Under her leadership, the company has expanded into new markets and expanded its suite of products.”

During Brandt’s tenure, the Dr. Seuss brand has expanded from books to films, TV shows, stage productions, theme parks, digital games, exhibitions, and licensed products, while maintaining the core values of the well-known Dr. Seuss stories and characters.

“I am a lifelong fan of Dr. Seuss and it’s been a privilege to be part of this company, collaborate with great partners, and wonderful employees to expand the Dr. Seuss universe in ways that continue to delight,” Brandt says. “I’m looking forward to continuing the wonderful work of guiding, innovating around, and protecting this widely beloved property.”

Prior to joining Dr. Seuss Enterprises in 1998, Brandt served as vice president of home entertainment at the 20th Century Fox.
