Ravensburger has revealed a new game inspired by Disney and Pixar heroines. Chronicles of Light: Darkness Falls (Disney Edition) is an adventure game that will be available this summer.

Chronicles of Light: Darkness Falls (Disney Edition) combines storytelling, role-playing, and teamwork into a board game format. Players can work together to create alliances between heroines such as Moana (Moana), Violet (The Incredibles), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), and Maid Marian (Robin Hood).

The characters materialize as crystal versions summoned into the realm, where they must push shadows of Disney Villains away and restore the Realm of Light. Players will discover a brand-new illustrated world and interact with familiar characters, creatures, and items along the way.

The game is fully designed and illustrated by women, with diverse missions and a modular board that creates different adventures with each play.

“As we’ve seen time and time again with games like Disney Villainous and Disney Lorcana TCG, bringing Disney heroes and villains into one shared universe reignites powerful nostalgia and provides a platform to bring friends and families together in an immersive and highly creative experience,” says Lysa Penrose, Head of New Games Marketing at Ravensburger North America.

“We know how imaginations ignite when you bring Disney storytelling to life in board games, and we can’t wait for you to see what happens when Disney Princess characters and other Disney heroines join forces and take center stage.”

The game is recommended for kids ages 8 and up. It will be available for preorder at target.com on July 7 and available for purchase in stores on July 21 for $29.99. More gameplay details and illustrations will be released at gaming events throughout the year.
