Sesame Workshop is partnering with the Ad Council to create a new series of PSAs that highlight the importance of maternal mental health.
Launching as part of the Ad Council’s “Love, Your Mind” campaign, the spots star baby Elmo, baby Cookie Monster, and their moms in a variety of humorous and heartwarming situations, each reminding mothers to prioritize their own emotional well-being, as taking care of their children starts with taking care of themselves. The first 30-second PSA is airing now on Sesame Workshop’s YouTube channel.
The new spots underscore the recent expansion of Sesame Workshop’s mental health initiative, which features new digital resources and books to help young kids and caregivers navigate the emotional and social challenges of growing up.
Additionally, the PSAs help support the mission of the Ad Council’s ongoing “Love, Your Mind” campaign. Sponsored by the Huntsman Mental Health Foundation and the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, this program aims to reduce the stigma around mental health by raising awareness, hosting events, and providing families with access to a wide range of educational resources.
