In anticipation of Tetris’ 40th anniversary, The Tetris Co. has appointed IMG as its merchandise licensing representative in the U.S., Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), including key territories such as the UK, France, Germany, North Africa, and India.

The agreement is an expansion of the companies’ existing licensing partnership in Brazil and Asia.

The multiyear partnership will result in a wide range of products. Tetris-inspired toys, games, collectibles, beauty and personal care, sporting goods and outdoor gear, pet toys and accessories, stationery, travel goods, food and beverages, apparel, home decor, and consumer electronic accessories are in the mix.

“With IMG’s track record as one of the world’s top licensing agencies, we’re excited to expand our partnership with them in the U.S., Canada, and EMEA,” says Maya Rogers, Chief Executive Officer of The Tetris Co. “This year is the Tetris brand’s 40th anniversary so we can’t wait to see what opportunities the team at IMG will secure for us.”

IMG has grown the brand’s lifestyle portfolio since becoming its merchandise licensing representative in Asia in 2018. Notable collaborations include Tetris x FILA and Tetris x Uniqlo.

“Almost every person who has ever owned an electronic device has played Tetris. Engaging and evergreen gameplay, eye-catching visuals, and strong nostalgic cues have made Tetris a global cultural icon,” says Louie Sandoval, Associate Vice President of Licensing at IMG. “We are excited to help grow this brand in new directions through a diverse consumer offering that caters to all generations.”

IMG’s Tetris licensing representatives will attend CES 2024 in Las Vegas this week. For more information, visit imglicensing.com.
