Headstart International is launching a new line of sustainable plush: Resoftables.
Each 14-inch plush toy in the Resoftables line is created using 100% recycled materials equivalent to approximately 11 plastic bottles. The Australian company says that the ultra-soft plush animals are designed and developed with the goal of creating “affordable and sustainable products for the younger generation.” Within the next year, Headstart says it will repurpose more than 1 million plastic bottles in an effort to combat some of the 275 million tons of plastic waste generated by consumers globally each year.
“Resoftables has been one of the most exciting initiatives for Headstart leading into 2020,” says Andrew Hendy, CEO of Headstart International. “We know our customers are asking for cost-effective, sustainable products and we’re ready to introduce a safe and soft recycled plush to the ever-changing market.”
