The Genius of Play launched the “Tag, You’re It!” sweepstakes to help promote play during the summer. Beginning July 9 and running through Aug. 6, parents can share pictures of their children at play on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtags #GeniusofPlay and #sweeps and tag their friends for a chance to win a trip for four to Orlando, Fla. worth $5,000.

According to recent research commissioned by The Genius of Play, moms are more likely to choose products tied to developmental benefits. Toy companies are encouraged to leverage the Tag, You’re It! campaign to align their brands with the benefits of play and show an industry-wide support for promoting play as an essential part of childhood.
