The Toy Association notified members of updates to the Toys “R” Us (TRU) bankruptcy case, including new details on the settlement agreement, the sale of its Asia operations, and the status of TRU’s intellectual property.
Highlights of the bulletin include updates on Fung Retailing’s appeal of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court ruling and the potential creation of a new Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us branding company that maintains existing global license agreements and can invest in and create new, domestic, retail operating businesses.
