This past Sunday at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), attendees got the chance to see Mattel’s lineup of Monster High dolls, including brand-new licensed character additions, alongside line re-releases, and more, all on the horizon this year.
The Monster High x Universal Monsters collection features three dolls inspired by three iconic horror films: Frankenstein (1931), Dracula (1931), and The Mummy (1932). Each doll honors the legacy of the films with movie-inspired, stylish designs and accessories that fans will appreciate, along with a stand for easy display. The Frankenstein doll, for example, includes a windmill bag that pays homage to the original film. Limited quantities of this trio are available now at Walmart. Starting Sept. 1, more retailers will carry them in-store and online.
More horror film-inspired dolls will hit shelves this year, including the Monster High Skullector Michael Myers Doll, Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Oogie Boogie Doll, and the Krampus Doll.
The Michael Myers Doll features details like a Jack-o’-Lantern and knife accessory, while the Oogie Boogie Doll references the character’s insect-infested liar in the film. Haunting collectors’ shelves, the Krampus Doll has long silver locks and a cursed bell accessory.

Previous fan-favorite collections like the Dawn of the Dance are returning this year with revamped designs and accessories. Fans can find Clawdeen Wolf, Frankie Stein, Cleo De Nile, Lagoona Blue, and Draculara in ghoulish-glam, party-ready looks, complete with mini details like a phone, pouch, invitation, and more.
Lastly, this October, Mattel launches the limited-edition Monster High Draculaura Halloween Edition Doll. This doll showcases an elevated bat-inspired outfit, wearing a winged headpiece with spiderweb-sheer veiling, a lace-up satin bodice, and a jacquard skirt. Additional pieces, such as haunted-house heels, a countess collar, ribbon bracelets, a Jack-o’-Lantern purse, and a Halloween-themed doll stand, add to the drama.Â
Monster High’s expansion into licenses of iconic horror characters, alongside new limited-edition and line re-releases, demonstrates the brand’s commitment to staying on trend and providing fans with high-quality collectibles they’ll love and display for years to come.
