Toys for Tots is kicking off its campaign once more, with hopes to beat records again.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a non-profit run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Each Christmas, the Toys for Tots campaign distributes toys to children whose families otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford them. This year, the organization is planning more than 850 local toy collection and distribution campaigns across all 50 states as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, and U.S. Virgin Islands.

Last year the program saw impressive levels of success, with 24.4 million toys, books, and games distributed to nearly 10 million kids — a new record. The program has no intentions to rest on its laurels, with aims to beat the record once more this year, thanks to individual donors as well as corporate sponsors.

We were astounded by the support provided by our corporate sponsors and individual donors. They helped us not only accomplish the mission, but greatly exceed all expectations."
Lieutenant General Laster, President & CEO of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation

A number of industry bigs are included Toys for Tots’ list of sponsors. 5 Star Sponsors, who’ve contributed at least $1 million in cash or $2 million in toys, include Build-A-Bear, Hasbro, LEGO, Spin Master, The Walt Disney Company, Target, and more.

As Toys for Tots heads into its 76th campaign season, the organization continues to make Christmas a holiday to remember for underprivileged kids across the nation. More information about the program and ways to get involved is available on the official webpage.
