Nintendo expands its Splatoon franchise with Splatoon Raiders, a new single-player-focused action shooter launching July 23 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. Players customize their character and loadout while using mechanical gadgets and ink-based weapons to battle Salmonids and complete raids. The game also features support from Deep Cut — Frye, Shiver, and Big Man — who join the adventure, with one member accompanying players in a combat-ready bot. New Amiibo figures based on the trio’s updated designs launch alongside the game. In addition to its solo focus, the title includes online and local multiplayer for up to four players, with preorders open via Nintendo’s digital storefronts.

Nintendo Launches ‘Yoshi and the Mysterious Book’ for Switch 2 This May

Yoshi stars in his own game with Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, launching May 21 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. The new title follows Yoshi as he teams up with a talking book named Mr. E, whose pages — and the creatures within them — have been mysteriously forgotten. Players explore a range of environments to help restore the book’s contents through discovery-driven gameplay.

The game builds on Yoshi’s classic abilities, including egg-throwing and Flutter Jump, while introducing new mechanics like Tail Flick to interact with creatures and uncover hidden elements. Players catalog their findings by experimenting with creatures’ behaviors, unlocking additional chapters and biomes as they progress. The title also incorporates amiibo functionality for in-game bonuses and features appearances from familiar characters like Bowser Jr. and Kamek as part of the unfolding story.
