After months of rumbling, it’s officially official: Hasbro is moving into the Javits Center for Toy Fair New York.

The newly expanded Javits Center will host Hasbro’s extensive brand lineup for the first time when The Toy Association opens the doors to Toy Fair New York in February. In recent years, Hasbro has held a spot at the New York Times building which required a commute for many Toy Fair attendees.

“In the past, due to lack of space, Toy Fair was simply unable to accommodate Hasbro and its many brands and franchisees on-site at the Javits Center,” says Kimberly Carcone, senior vice president of global market events at The Toy Association.

When the doors open on Feb. 19, 2022, the latest offerings from the $32 billion U.S. toy market will be on display for members of the global toy community to experience.

“We’re excited to join industry colleagues at the Javits Center as we return to Toy Fair New York and showcase the power and potential of Hasbro’s Brand Blueprint,” says Eric Nyman, chief consumer officer and chief operating officer of Hasbro Consumer Products. “As we continue our transformation into a leading play and entertainment company, we look forward to sharing an update on our pipeline, storytelling, and content built around our powerful brands, to seeing partners and old friends, and to making new connections on the show floor as we kick-off 2022.”

Carcone notes that Hasbro’s entry into the Javits Center is a monumental move as the industry looks toward a return to normalcy after two years of disruption.

“We believe it to be symbolic of the important return to live events and the show’s evolution to serve the business needs of all exhibitors and guests,” Carcone says.

New features at Toy Fair New York 2022 include Spielwarenmesse’s World of Toys Pavilion and Brands Untapped, developed in partnership with Mojo Nation.
