Adventure Media & Events (AME), the toy industry’s leading media organization serving trade and consumer audiences across The Toy Book, The Toy Insider, and The Pop Insider, named The Toy Foundation (TTF) as the Social Responsibility Partner for its 2024 Toy Insider events in New York City.

Under the new pact covering the recent Spring Fling Toy Preview and the upcoming Sweet Suite and Holiday of Play, event sponsors have the opportunity to donate their toys and other playthings to TTF’s Toy Bank to deliver the comfort, joy, and extraordinary benefits of play to NYC-area children in need.

The Toy Bank is the toy industry’s turnkey corporate social responsibility solution for trade show service and inventory management. At Spring Fling, The Toy Bank simplified moveout by collecting hundreds of action figures, outdoor toys, plush, and more from exhibitors to place into the hands of Bronx-area children. The same service will be offered at Sweet Suite on July 17 and Holiday of Play, taking place September 17.

As an industry, we are focused on creating joy for kids and families. We are proud to partner with The Toy Foundation and offer our exhibitors the opportunity to share this joy with those who need it most.”
Laurie Schacht, Chief Toy Officer at Adventure Media & Events

The Toy Insider’s Sweet Suite and Holiday of Play are media events where toy companies preview their latest toy innovations in front of press and top-tier digital influencers. Previous sponsors include Crayola, Just Play, LEGO, Moose Toys, Playmates Toys, PMI Kids’ World, Spin Master, VTech, and many more.

“We believe that all kids should have the opportunity to grow, learn, and explore through play,” says Tammy Smitham, Vice President of Communications and Corporate Citizenship at Spin Master. “We always look forward to participating in Adventure Media’s events to meet with media and influencers to share our latest innovations in play, and love that these events now offer the added benefit of empowering children through play and advancing the philanthropy impact of the toy industry overall.”

All Spring Fling donations are being distributed with the help of TTF’s NYC nonprofit partner, Giving Friends. The organization supports children and families living in social service residences, from newborn to age 18, by providing gifts and essentials throughout the year as they strive to create better lives.

TTF is the uniting force for the collective philanthropy of the toy industry, delivering play to nearly 32 million children worldwide. The products collected at the three events will expand the industry’s collective impact and help reach TTF’s goal of impacting 1 million children with the extraordinary benefits of play in 2024.
