The Chicago Toy & Game Group announced that registration is open for the ninth annual Young Inventor Challenge through November 1. Presented by Spin Master, the challenge invites kids ages 6 to 18 to invent their own original toy or game. Contest entrants will showcase their original toy and game ideas “science fair style” to a panel of play industry experts on Saturday, November 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair (ChiTAG).
Judges and attendees will evaluate Young Inventor Challenge entries based on innovation, creativity, appeal, and presentation during the ChiTAG fair. First place and runner-up awards will be given out in both the junior (ages 6 to 11) and senior (ages 12 to 18) categories, as well as one People’s Choice award selected by attendees. Winners will be announced at 5 p.m. on November 21.
Winners have the chance to win toy prizes courtesy of Spin Master, including Meccanoid, Legendary Yoda, and Zoomer Kitty, and a dinner with leading toy industry representatives from the Spin Master team.
