Brilliant PR & Marketing has promoted Clark Nesselrodt to the role of executive vice president.
The move comes as the agency emerges from a year of growth in which the Brilliant team expanded its roster to more than 40 retainer clients and secured more than 23 billion media and influencer impressions. Nesselrodt helped lead the agency’s ongoing development of integrated marketing services with an emphasis on social and digital media, SEO, creative, and branding.
“When COVID-19 hit and we initially saw clients scaling back marketing programs, we assumed that 2020 would be a flat or down year, but instead, it has been our single greatest year of growth,” says Kathleen Tomes, president and founder of Brilliant PR & Marketing. “This is attributable to the work and dedication of every single person at our company, and in particular to our operations team and the leadership of Clark Nesselrodt. Our clients often speak about the ‘magic’ that Clark brings to their strategic conversations and planning. I am very grateful that this promotion and the expansion of our senior leadership team will enable him to focus even more time on growing Brilliant while continuing to provide greater services to our clients.”
Nesselrodt, an occasional guest contributor to the Toy Book, joined Brilliant in 2017 and has helped to lead clients to back-to-back Toy of the Year (TOTY) wins in addition to establishing celebrity partnerships and billions of media impressions with his focus on brand building.
“I am proud to have helped lead Brilliant’s growth over the last three years and to have helped our clients expand their marketing programs,” Nesselrodt says. “I asked Brilliant and our clients to take a leap of faith on a more expansive vision, and it is wonderful to see the fruits of this work.”
In addition to Nesselrodt’s promotion, Brilliant PR & Marketing has added Erin Jundef to its staff as a senior account manager. Jundef joins the agency from Ketchum where she worked on Mattel brands, including Hot Wheels and Barbie, among others. The agency is currently on the hunt for a Senior Vice President to join its leadership team alongside Tomes and Vice President Julie Stern.
