A pair of new executives have joined the crew at Cloudco Entertainment, the company behind Care Bears and Madballs.

The company appointed Myles Hobbs as vice president, global distribution, along with Daniel Barnes as development executive.

Barnes, who previously worked for Hasbro Studios and Amazon Studios joins the company from Moonbug Entertainment where he served as a development executive for branded content and original productions including Mia’s Magic Playground, Morphle, and Blippi.  Hobbs joins the company from Kidscreen where he served as associate publisher.

“Daniel’s creativity, taste, and genuine love for kids and family entertainment, along with his experience on the toy, broadcast, and digital side of the business, will help us to grow our development and production slate in all-new ways,” says Ryan Wiesbrock, head of development and production, Cloudco. “On top of that, his enthusiasm and positivity are infectious!”

In his new role, Barnes will develop new projects and pitches in addition to building industry relationships and focusing on developing animated and live-action productions at a producer level. Hobbs will work to expand global distribution for Cloudco properties and will report to Ian Lambur, recently appointed executive vice president of content strategy and co-productions
