Dr. Seuss Enterprises (DSE) is expanding its management team after a year of immense growth.

The company promoted Shannon Spisak to vice president of marketing and communications. It has also revealed new appointments to its retail and licensing positions including Vienna Downes, Jimeka Broussard, and Raquel Ojalvo.

“I am excited and honored to be elevated to this role at Dr. Seuss Enterprises,” Spisak says. “It’s an incredible time to be at Dr. Seuss Enterprises and with these new responsibilities, I am looking forward to helping our beloved property grow even further.”

In her new role, Spisak will participate as a member of the DSE management executive team in supporting the company’s strategic vision and moving business forward. She will also play a key role in developing the company’s product, creative, marketing, social media, and business plans through 360-degree marketing programs, retail opportunities, and collaborations with key partners.

Downes is joining the team as the senior director of licensing and sales and brings experience in innovative licensing programs and business initiatives. Broussard will propel business performance in her new role as licensing manager with her background in budget, product, and contract management. Ojalvo joins the team as director of retail sales. In her new position, she will focus on category management and business development. 

Spisak previously held the role of senior director of marketing and communications at Dr. Seuss Enterprises prior to her promotion.
