Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products will celebrate the April 11 theatrical release of Rio 2 with a multi-category global licensing program, including partnerships for toys and kids’ products.
Select licensing partners are as follows:
- Jakks Pacific: A toy line featuring musical plush, figures, bulk toy, and novelty items
- Rovio Entertainment: Angry Birds Rio-themed merchandise available soon
- Cupcake Digital: The Rio and Rio 2 Movie Interactive Storybook, Activities & Games for Kids apps will be available in the Apple App Store, Amazon Appstore for Android, and Google Play.
- SimEx-Iwerks: The Rio Rainforest Adventure 4-D at the San Diego Zoo attraction provides a rainforest experience for zoo guests. The attraction is located in the Children’s Zoo.

In the Asia-Pacific region, Richprime Global will be launching a full range of merchandise, including inflatable toys available in all Toy Kingdom and SM Department Stores nationwide in the Philippines.
Finally, in Latin America, Grow will provide vinyl dolls and board games; BBR will introduce plush; and Ri-Happy and PBKids in Brazil and Ripley Department Stores in Chile, Peru, and Colombia will provide toys.
