In partnership with One Tree Planted, Hasbro has completed planting 100,000 trees in four key regions around the world, including the U.S., Brazil, India, and Ireland. With a goal of aiding in global reforestation efforts, the global toy and entertainment company chose to plant trees in an effort to improve air quality, protect and improve soil, prevent floods, and provide shelter and diet to wildlife.
Hasbro’s history of environmental stewardship will be furthered directly through the Team Hasbro employee volunteer program, which consists of planting trees in Rhode Island where the company’s global headquarters is located.
“At Hasbro, we are focused on using business as a force of good and having a positive impact on the planet,” says Kathrin Belliveau, chief purpose officer. “We view this partnership as a purposeful component of our overall strategy to tackle climate change.”
Team Hasbro, the company’s employee volunteer program, gives employees year-round, company-sponsored chances to give back. Hasbro’s volunteerism rate is 92% worldwide. The benefits of planting trees bring the world — and Hasbro — one step closer to a healthier planet.
