Nintendo and Illumination’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie is a massive hit, and now kids will have even more toys to play with from JAKKS Pacific.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie 5-Inch Figure Series collection will expand with Wave 2, featuring Tanooki Mario, Kamek, Peach, and Cat Mario. Each figure comes with a move-specific accessory and features lifelike acrylic eyes and 8-16 points of movement. The figures will be available at Target for $19.99 each in July. The Super Mario Bros. Movie 1.25-Inch Mini Figures collection is also expanding with Wave 2, featuring Cat Mario, Tanooki Mario, General Koopa, Dry Bones, Shy Guy, and Goomba. Each figure comes with a Question Block that kids can open to find movie backgrounds. They will be available for $5.99 each.
There are also some new playsets to go along with the figures. Bowser’s Island Castle comes with an exclusive 1.25-inch Bowser figure. When kids open the castle, they’ll find Bowser’s throne and interactive features, like jail cells they can lift, a trap door that leads to a secret escape route, hanging mace balls, and rolling wheels. The playset will be available for $29.99.
The Donkey Kong Stadium Playset comes with an exclusive 1.25-inch Donkey Kong figure. Kids can open the set to reveal the arena from The Super Mario Bros. Movie. It has interactive features like Question Blocks, a hanging tire and crate, and moveable beams and barrels. It will be available for $19.99.
There are also some active toys, like Inflatable Bowser’s Battle, which comes with a 42-inch-tall inflatable Bowser and two 3-inch fireballs. Kids can throw the fireballs into Bowser’s net and fill the base with water for added stability. The game will be available for $39.99.
The Mario Rumble R/C Kart Racer is a 2.4GHz R/C vehicle that kids can pilot from a range of 100 feet away. Mario’s head and hands move when the car turns, and the tailpipes light up and rumble. The R/C Kart Racer is available now for $49.99 at Target.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie “Power Up Edition” is available on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD now.
