Fortnite is planning to be around for many years to come.
Epic Games and Jazwares have extended their licensing agreement for Fortnite toys and collectibles through 2025. IMG brokered the deal which comes with some new terms starting next January when Jazwares becomes the exclusive toy partner for all Fortnite action figures, vehicles, playsets, and accessories at 4-inch scale and below. The company will also continue to produce its Fortnite R/C vehicles range which is compatible with the 4-inch scale; and its growing Fortnite plush assortment. New for 2022 is a fresh lineup of 2-inch action figures, vehicles, playsets, and accessories for fans of Fortnite who prefer a miniature scale.
“These toys and collectibles have opened up the action-packed world of Fortnite, adding a whole new level of detail that fans can connect to like never before,” says Jazwares President Laura Zebersky. “Through the continually evolving 4-inch action figure universe and now the new 2-inch range, we are expanding collectibility to help fans build out the world of Fortnite. Jazwares and Epic Games kicked off their partnership in 2019 with the debut of the 4-inch scale Fortnite action figure range. Jazwares’ Fortnite Jumbo Llama Piñata became an instant hit, securing a position on the Toy Insider’s Holiday Gift Guide Hot 20 as the line rocketed to the top of the sales charts. Last year’s Fortnite Deluxe Battle Bus continued the charge to become the fourth best-selling toy in the action figures and accessories category for 2020.
A new lineup of additional Fortnite products from Jazwares is rolling out this year, including a fresh assortment of 7-inch Fortnite Legendary Series Figures – Brawlers; the Fortnite Feature Vehicle – Choppa with a 4-inch Blaze figure and a Legendary Assault Rifle; and the Fortnite Agent’s Room 2-pack with 4-inch Peely figures and diorama.
